More than 150 Preservation Houston members and friends met in City Hall's Legacy Room on June 4 to recap Preservation Houston's accomplishments over the past year — and reflect on the organization's 40-year history — during the 2018 Membership Reception and Meeting.
Preservation Houston and Operation Photo Rescue teamed up to help Houstonians whose family photos were damaged during Hurricane Harvey with a copy run Dec. 9 and 10.
Volunteers sorted, measured and photographed the damaged photos, which will be sent to OPR volunteers around the world for digital restoration. The result: People who thought their memories had been lost will get restored new prints of their treasured photos.
A revival of the long-forgotten Houston Municipal Song on Houston Public Media and a Pier & Beam tour of a to-be-restored Courtlandt Place landmark put Preservation Houston in the news this month.
