Join us February 20 for the next session of Time & Place, Preservation Houston’s midday talk series exploring how preservation and history shape the places we share.
Have you ever wanted to research a building or neighborhood in Houston, but didn’t know where to begin? Start at the Houston Public Library. In this session, Ginger Berni, architecture archivist at the Houston History Research Center, will guide you through the maze of resources available at the library. From finding aids and the Architectural Drawings Database to the Digital Archive, she’ll show you how to access the materials that can move a research project from curiosity to clarity. Along the way, Berni will share insider tips that can save time, sharpen focus and make your research more productive.
The talk will begin at noon Friday, February 20, at PH Studio in the Preservation Houston office, 3907 Main Street. Registration is $10 for PH members and $15 for non-members; add $15 for a Picnic boxed lunch or bring your own. Water and iced tea will be provided.
This project is funded in part by a grant from the National Trust Preservation Fund of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
