Time & Place: Unlocking the History of Your Home or Building (repeat session)

Join us Tuesday evening, February 10, for Time & Place: Unlocking the History of Your Home or Building, an evening presentation of Preservation Houston’s Time & Place program exploring how preservation and history shape the places we share. This session is a repeat presentation, offered in response to strong interest.

Every building has a story, and there are many tools available to help you discover yours. In this session, Preservation Services Director Emily Ardoin will introduce a selection of mostly free, online tools for researching the history of a home or other building in Houston. She’ll share practical search tips and guidance on how to interpret what you find. Whether you’re curious about your own property, researching a neighborhood or simply interested in local history, you’ll leave with a solid starting point for uncovering the stories built into Houston’s historic places.

The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, at PH Studio in the Preservation Houston office, 3907 Main Street. Registration is $10 for Preservation Houston members and $15 for non-members.

This project has been funded in part by a grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation Preservation Fund.
